Quote of the day:
"Comedy is tragedy that happens to other people." Angela Carter

Thought of the day:
People talk about free will, yet so much about myself I know I don't control.

Quote of the day:
"What does not destroy me, makes me stronger" Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

Quote of the day:
"Men in general are fain to believe that which they wish to be true." Julius
Caesar

Thought of the day:
We have designer dog food and people dying on the street, but who am I to
judge, drinking my Johnnie Walker and driving my Cadillac. I guess we only care
about the troubles in the world to a degree.

3-18-05

Quote of the day:
"My heart is a lonely hunter that hunts on a lonely hill." William Sharp

Thought of the day:
I feel so happy for once, like I'm drunk or something. I can't help but
smile, this can't be a good sign. Then what the FUCK do I know?

3-17-05

Quote of the day:
"Why don't some people just shoot themselves in the head the day they are
born?" Arkady Renko

Thought of the day:
One of these days I'm going to ID someone at the bar named Goliath and be
like, "Man did you pick the wrong bar!"

Quote of the day:
"'Tis not the drinking that is to be blamed, but the excess." John Selden

Thought of the day:
Why is nothing simple?

Quote of the day:
"Machinery is the new messiah." Herry Ford

Thought of the day:
Lies are harder to keep then to tell. Lying is too much work if you ask me.
Avoiding the truth is easier, yet still a struggle. The truth is like medicine,
you need to just get it over with. Deal with the pain and/or the bad taste.
Avoiding it just torments us more. The needle waiting to prick us hurts more
then any that have stuck in us.

"Though boys throw stones at frogs in sport, the frog do not die in sport,
but in earnest." Bion

Thought of the day:
Some days we awake to find a nightmare, others a dream.

Quote of the day:"It's not racist if it's funny" Ryan Logsdon

Thought of the day:
I don't tell lies, I live them! Well, not really but it sounded good. Who knows perhaps I do on some levels. I've no time to ponder such silliness now.

3-12-05

Quote of the day:
"Perhaps on the unhappy happier days may wait." Vergil

Thought of the day:
If reincarnation were true, I think I was a horrible person in my past life,
especially to women and that this life is my punishment.

Quote of the day:
"Doth the moon care for the barking of a dog?" Robert Burton

Thought of the day:
You don't change a persons mind by arguing with them, but by talking with them. Hostility only confirms our prejudices towards each other.

Quote of the day:
"Originality is the art of concealing your sources." Anonymous

Thought of the day:
Deep down inside of me a scared little boy, but that's cannibalism for you.
That's not even all that funny is it? Probably heard some comedian say it
before too. What the fuck, it's been a rough week and I just wanted to write
something goofy & pointless. You know, like "God Bless America" or "Give Peace a
Chance." So I kinda stole the joke from the Simpsons where Marge makes fun of
the saying "Support Our Troops" and where Homer says songs don't to have to mean
anything. It's late and I have things on my mind and so I'm trying to be
funny. It's not going so well. What else is new, eh.

Little things can make us completely forget a bad day or make it a thousand
times worst.

Thought of the day:
I turned on the Playboy Channel the other night and there are two girls in a
hot tub doing...well, what two girl in a hot tub do on the Playboy Channel do.
So I start watching, you know because the plot was so fascinating. When I
notice one has a crucifix around her neck. The other girl started to suck on it
at one point even and all I could think was, "Yeah that's what Jesus died for!"

3-02-05

Quote of the day:
"Give the historians something to write about" Propertius (If I were ever a
leader of anything, I'd have to use this line)

Thought of the day:
I got a Ray Charles box set yesterday and so far it's pretty cool. It has
this amazing cover of "Ring of Fire" on it. But I'm listening to it on my way
home from the bar and the one song caught my ear. Mostly it was the one line
that
gets repeated. It's basically Ray singing "I once was bind but now I see."
Now you can't make shit like that up! No, It wasn't "Amazing Grace" either. It's
called "Careless Love." So, I'm left wondering If someone had the balls to
suggest Ray play it or what.
