Quote of the day:
"The wise make proverbs and fools repeat them." Isaac D'Israeli

Thought of the day:
Every so often Victoria's Secret advertises that their panties are half off and I can't help but think they're just asking for a prank call.

Quote of the day:
"A joke's a serious thing." Charles Churchill

Thought of the day:
There's a loneliness that can only be felt in someone else's arms.

Quote of the day:
"Misogynist--A man who hates women as much as women hate one another." H. L. Mencken

Thought of the day:
I've never sent anyone flowers. I'm not sure I even like the idea. For one things it's kinda cliché and not all that personal. I'd rather find something that meant something or at least find a way to personalize the flowers rather then the generic red roses. But really what I think bothers me about flowers is that while they may be beautiful and perhaps smell nice, they are in reality dying. Although there is a dark metaphor on love there that I kinda like about that. I've alway thought I'd go with sunflowers if I were to send flowers to someone. They're big and silly looking. Just don't send a junkie any poppies.

Quote of the day:
"Knowledge is the antidote to fear." Emerson

Thought of the day:
I've come to a strange realization that any girl I've ever kissed, the first time I'd been drinking. Really almost everytime I'd been drinking. That can't be good I'm betting. So it seems Johnny Walker's introduces me to most of the women I've known. I could also say he's introduced me to most of troubles I've known but why repeat myself?

Quote of the day:
"The lesson we suffer the most in learning: That a happy man is a man forgetful of all the torturing ills around him." Edwin Arlington Robinson

Thought of the day:
Someone falls and we laugh. Why is it we find humor in other people's pain? Why is it we gossip about others misfortune? Why are these things so funny and/or interesting to us?

Quote of the day:
"I am your father!" Darth Vader

Thought of the day:
It's Father's Day and honestly I hate all these little holidays. Ironicly enough so does my father. I've become a lot like my father and I'm glad.

Quote of the day:
"I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked or boiled, and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee or a ragout." Jonathan Swift: A Modest Proposal

Thought of the day:
A friend is an enemy you haven't made yet.

Thought of the day:
Oh..what's the fucking point...in well...ANYTHING!

Quote of the day:
"The word good has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man." G. K. Chesterton

Thought of the day:
I hope you'll all come to my funeral because I sure as shit don't want to come to any of yours.

Quote of the day:
"I was just a young, unthinking teenager... when I first became... Spider-man..but the years have a way of slipping by..of changing the world about us...and every boy...sooner or later... must put away his toys..and become...a man!" Peter Parker/Stan Lee

Thought of the day:
I had a thought of the day ready for today, but as usual I've changed my mind a bit. Maybe tomorrow, but today I'm filled with an empty feeling. Which I guess is an oxymoron. It's not easy to grow up. I remember realizing that my toys where no long the fun they used to be and that it meant that I was growing up. It depressed me. So now here I am a "man" or at least having to make the decisions of a man and deal with the problems of a man. Happiness is no longer a new G.I. Joe and my biggest problem is no longer deciding which one. Really I'll be the first to admit I still have a lot of growing up to do, but then don't we all. Really this thought is poorly arranged I know, but really that's how thoughts are.

Thought of the day:
Why couldn't I have ended up a stain on some mattress laying in a junk yard somewhere?

Quote of the day:
"I do not consider Hitler as bad as he is depicted. He is showing an ability that is amazing, and seems to be gaining his victories without much bloodshed." Mohandas K. Gandhi, May 1940

Thought of the day:
Wanna freak someone out today? Tell them out of the blue that you love them and how much. Not even a romantic love and without some special reason or anything. It seems like it'd be a nice thing to do, but I bet most people will be weirded out by it. What the fuck does that tell you about love? Or at least what we think of it? If hatred is a disease and love the cure, is it possible that the cure is worse then the disease? Really hatred and love are like twins that try so hard to be different from each other because they can't stand how much they are the same. But I'm loosing focus...fuck it...tell someone today how much you hate them. At least that they'll respect you for.

Quote of the day:
"There is no right and wrong; only power and weakness." Paul Eldridge

Thought of the day:
I've been getting told lately how "dark" my thoughts of the day have been. I won't deny any part of it, though I do wonder if they remember my Valentine's Day rant? But fuck it, I tried a week of being positive with this all just for kicks. Honestly people, what kinda thoughts are you expecting from a guy who spends his free time drinking Johnnie Walker and listening to Johnny Cash? So this week I think I'll stare into the abyss that is my life with a sick grin on my face and try to give you a real dark perspective on it. No sunshine and puppy dogs, this week will be like a heroin needle in the eye.

"An ass is beautiful to an ass, and a pig is beautiful to a pig." John Ray

Thought of the day:
We say far more about ourselves when we speak about others.

Quote of the day:
"Get thee behind me, Satan." Mark 8:33

Thought of the day:
I'm a weird guy I guess, been told so since as long as I can remember. I'm not so sure what it is about me or why it is? Perhaps whatever causes my seizers, also causes me to think a tad differently. Maybe I'm the result of my father's exposure to Agent Orange. Who knows, but I hope you all enjoy!

Thought of the day:
They say you'll catch more flies with honey, but you'll catch even more with bull shit.

6-08-05

Quote of the day:
"All Movements go too far." Bertrand Russell

Thought of the day:
You know I'm a Johnny Cash fan and well he was married to June Carter. They were together till death did they part, which is a rare thing for famous people. When he first met her he told her he was going to marry her and really in his autobiography (thanks Amanda) he mentioned seeing her perform when he was younger and being smitten with her. Really he died very shortly after she did and it all sounds rather romantic I thought. Then I'm listening to his music and every other song is about killing the woman that left him. So I began thinking maybe the reason they stayed together was she scared to death to leave him. You know she'd go to him "honey we need to talk," planning on asking for a divorce and he go, "OK, but first listen to this song I've been working on about killing the woman who left me."

Quote of the day:
"We feel that animals have the same rights as a retarded human child because they are equal mentally in terms of dependence on others." Alex Pacheco- The New York Times January 14, 1989 (Please note that I got this quote off a website and cannot be sure of it.)

Thought of the day:
I was asked in highschool what my favorite Disney movie was for the school newspaper. My answer was Bambi because I enjoy the pain and suffering of deer. Actually Bambi was a favorite of mine when I was very young. I don't really remember much of the movie at this point. It was on last night, so I left it on for a bit at the bar. I thought it'd be funny if I found my uncle at the end of the bar crying watching it and going "My God, what have I been doing all these years!"

Thought of the day:
Do you remember the Grover book about how there was a monster at the end of the book when you were a kid? And how Grover tried to stop you from getting to the end of the book because he was afriad to face the monster. Then he get's their and finds that he's the monster. That's how I feel today.

Quote of the day:
"The reason why the bosom of a beautiful woman is an object of such peculiar delight arises from hence: that all our first pleasurable sensations of warmth, sustenance, and repose are derived from this interesting source." Charles Caleb Colton

Thought of the day:
I have to say I've had pretty much the same thought, but not in such fancy words. Lets face it there are enough positive stimulus associated with the breasts to make Pavlov bark like a dog. Really one of our first and most basic instincts is to suckle on a breast. Food, sex, warmth, love, comfort, and more we can link to this area. Also most other areas of the body we consider sexual have some disgusting side to it, blood, urine, shit, etc., that the breast does not.
