Thought of the day:
Despite the fight for equality and the woman's movement it is still seen as a
horrible thing for a man to hit a woman. There is no question of equality or
anything like that. Now don't get me wrong, it's not that I have a problem
with people being outraged that a man would hit a woman, but my problem is that
they are not equaly outraged at a man hitting another man or a woman hitting a
man. It's funny I went to the doctor today and had to answer all these
questions about abuse. I guess the point I'm trying to make here is that it's
not the gender but the violence that should sicken us.
