Thought of the day:I had trouble finding a good Thanksgiving quote. I'd found a few on the day but nothing great. I wanted a line from I believe Bill Maher who made the point that considering the way this country treated the native Americas, it's a bit like a date rapist wanting to focus on the dinner they had first. But well enough with the negative, today is a day to be thankful. That was the thought going thru my head as I drove home today in my new caddy listening to Roy Orbison watching as the sun creeped out between the still raining clouds (a good recipe for a rainbow). So I'm thankful for that car and the music Roy made. I'm thankful to be an uncle again this year, twice. I'm thankful for good friends and good times with a glass of Johnnie Walker. I'm thankful they haven't left me in too bad a shape today. I'm thankful I get to share my silly thoughts with you everyday. I'm thankful that I'm off from work for a bit after the week I had. I'm thankful for the smiles of pretty girls. I'm thankful I can never get pregnant. I'm thankful for all the people in my life who truly cared and that I have people that I can truly care for. I'm thankful my ear ache is pretty much gone. I'm thankful for my X-men game. I'm thankful I don't have to come up with things to be thankful for all day. I'm thankful this isn't being graded. I'm thankful for all the books of quotes I have. I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful for the Playboy channel. I'm thankful that I don't have to clean that bar after last night. I'm thankful that I have at least one more new Johnny Cash album to look forward to. I'm thankful to live in a country whereI'll have too much food today and not too little. I'm thankful that they put Kung Fu out on DVD finally. I'm thankful I'm not Scott Peterson. I'm thankful that all of you are in my life. I'm thankful I don't have to buy gifts or cards for this silly day. I'm thankful I get to sleep in tomorrow and get paid for it. Mostly I'm just thankful that I have reasons to be thankful this year. So Happy Turkey Day everyone!
