Quote of the day:
"The problem with the French is they don't have a word for 'entrepreneur'" George W. Bush

Thought of the day:
I always think it dumb when people question why a man is considered a 'stud' for sleeping with a lot of women, while a woman is considered a 'slut.' People can cry that it's a double standard but the real truth is that all you have to do is consider that even a male prostitute serves men and you'll begin to understand why there's a difference. Really we live in a society that honors people for doing something difficult and in comparison it's like killing a bear with your bare hands vs. killing a cow with a machine gun when it comes to the difference with men and women here. But lastly consider that no man is consider a 'stud' for sleeping with women considered by society to be unattractive.

Amanda jane says; Okay but what is a man considered who only sleeps with sluts?

Quote of the day:
"Where all men think alike, no one thinks very much." Walter Lippmann

Thought of the day:
My lack of religous belief aside, I honestly don't get the idea of prayer. First off why would we have to try to tell an all knowing being anything? If you're sorry for your sins or just wanting some help, guidance, or whatever, it should be known to the all knowing even before it is known to you. As for asking for something, isn't a bit arrogant to try to tell such a being what to do? Like if there is a god and we asked for it to save someone's life, shouldn't it have already have made the disision? I can't see some super being changing it's mind because a few moratals kept praying over it. Even if it did, what does that say about it?

Quote of the day:
"Man is nature's sole mistake." W.S. Gilbert

Thought of the day:
Maybe I come off as silly trying to give some "wisdom" in my Thought of the day, but hey look at Solomon. His name is synonymous with wisdom and his great "wisdom" was to suggest cutting a baby in half!

Amanda Jane says; If only we all thought like King Solomon, I'd imagine the divorce rate would be much lower.

Quote of the day:
"The devil is a gentleman who never goes where he is not welcome." John A. Lincoln

Thought of the day:
I gave up trying to figure out what women want when I realized that most of them don't even know what they want.

Amanda Jane says; Finally some one who understands ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quote of the day:
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke

Thought of the day:
Say what you will about pornography, but I think it serves as sort of methadone for sexuality to some people. Then what do I know about methadone?

Quote of the day:
"Tis strange what a man may do, and a woman yet think him an angel." William Thackeray

Thought of the day:
I'd like to open a strip club where the dancers have abnormalities. Little people, giant women, amputees, hermaphordites, conjoined twims, etc. Yeah I know I'm a horrible person, but it's a horrible world and I'd probably make a mint.

Amanda Jane says; Hmm, you would probably make a mint. I can't say that I wouldn't check it out, I mean we're all curious cause we're all human. I bet we'd see quite a crew of people in line at the door on Grand openeing day. I can hear it now, "A preacher, a polock, and an irish man walk into the local freak strip joint......"

8-16-05

Quote of the day:
"Sacred cows make the tastiest hamburger." Abbie Hoffman

Thought of the day:
It's said that faith in Jesus allowed a man to walk on water and that faith in science allowed a man to walk on the moon. Now both have their skeptics, but I have to ask which do you find more impressive?

Amanda Jane says; Wow, that's a hell of a question. I thought I'd pick Jesus on the water thing. But nope, cause that's here on Earth. We, (humans) walked on an entire other planet, not that is cool.

Quote of the day:
"Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real." Tupac Shakur

Thought of the day:
It isn't the violent movies and TV shows the fuck you up. It's the ones that try to sell us a world that we'd like to be true. Where doing the right thing is rewarded and everyone finds that special someone. Pretty Woman has probably messed up more people with it's silly romantic dream than all the Friday the 13th movies combined. Hmm..now I'm left wondering why nobody cries for the victims watching slasher movies? Yet, they'll cry over the happy ending of Pretty Woman. Speaking of Pretty Woman, listen to some Roy Orbison today! Buy a CD if you need to. The man was amazing!

Quote of the day:
"No woman will in my time be prime minister" Margaret Thatcher, 1969

Thought of the day:
Stop to smell the flowers but don't pick them. It kills them!

"Women can't complain about men anymore until they start getting better taste in them." Bill Maher

Thought of the day:
Breasts, so near the heart and yet so often far from love.

Thought of the day:
Being friends with someone who's broken up with you is like walking away with the home version of the game show you lost on.

Quote of the day:
"The surest way to make a monkey of a man is to quote him." Robert Benchley

Thought of the day:
I think it's probably best to die in your sleep, that's why I try to sleep as much as I can. Increase my odds, eh.

Quote of the day:
"Well, some people die and some people are survivors. I'm a survivor." Janis Joplin

Thought of the day:
Three O'clock in the morning is no time to be alone.

8-09-05

Quote of the day:
"You have your own idea of what's country: I think Hank Williams is country. Garth Brooks may not be, you know? Ha ha ha. Nothing derogatory." Willie Nelson

Thought of the day:
I try to be a good person. I try my best to do what's right. Which is hard, especially since some people will take advantage of you if you're too nice. Ultimately I'd like for people at my funeral to go, "Dave was one of the nicest guys I know, made Jesus look like an asshole." That's a joke people, smile! I'm trying to find the game Operation. I just want the card that say's "remove broken heart." Now that's a great pick up line! It doesn't even require words!

Television Quote of the day:
"Ooh, so Mother Nature needs a favor? Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys! Nature started the fight for survival, and now she wants to quit because she's losing. Well, I say, hard cheese." Mr. Burns

Movie Quote of the day:
"Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!" The Princess Bride

Offensive Quote of the day:

Funny Quote of the day:
"I'm Canadian. It's like American, but without a gun." Dave Foley

Weird Fact of the day:
Dr. William Marston created both Wonder Woman and the Lie Detector.

Thought of the day:
I hate the song Mustang Sally, I hate the Ford Mustang, Hell I don't even like the damn horse. Now the other day I saw a Mustang Cobra and couldn't help but think it was stupid to name a car after a snake that's already named after a horse. It just seems retarded.

8-07-05

Quote of the day:
"I want to ask George Bush: Why did my son die?"-Cindy Sheehan

Thought of the day:
Well, It four something in the morning and I pretty much just got home. Which is my life I guess. I think Willie Nelson was right in saying that the night life aint no good life. I drink too much and often find more lust then love. But I like the night time, it's dark, quiet, and peaceful. The day time is bright and loud with children everywhere. It's ugly in it's way. I'll take the light of a full moon over a sunny day anytime. Besides there are more tits on TV at night.

Amanda Jane says: Wow, from romantic to typicall in two days flat.

8-06-05

Quote of the day:
"Dogs are like big, dumb buddies who never leave. They're like Lenny from Of Mice and Men, only with deadly fangs and no bowl control." from the book You Are Worthless

Thought of the day:
Yesterday was the 60th anniversary of the atom bomb being dropped on Hiroshima. For all the good things you can say about this country and there are a lot, we are the only country I know of to do such a thing. The worst thing is that I've heard we didn't really need to do it. That the Japanese were ready to surrender and we knew it, but wanted it on our terms, Not only that, but we intentionally used it on a populated area rather than just using it some place less populated as a warning. Don't get me wrong, I do love this nation, but I will not turn a blind eye to the things it has done. Nor am I some holier than thou person with such a thing. Honestly after Sept. 11th, I thought that we should have sent tapes of Hiroshima to Afghanistan saying you have 24 hour to hand over Osama. Right or wrong it would have sent a message.

Amanda Jane says: It's still really hard to compute what happened on Sept. 11, which is some thing we were alive to see and investigate. I can't imagine how all the crap went down that I wasn't alive for, or conscious. Imagine all that we can't see that is going on.

8-05-05

Quote of the day:
"As for me, all I know is that I know nothing." Socrates

Thought of the day:
Sex itself isn't so much what I desire from a woman as much as the little things. Let's face it if I wanted just an orgasm, I can give myself one. A few if I really push myself. It's the touch, the feel, the smell, the laugh, the smile and so on. I love when a girl knows how to kiss or perhaps it's just compadability more than skill. From gently just feeling each others lips by softly brushing them together to sucking them so hard they tingle the next day. Playfully just exploring each other's mouths for hours while hands take risks. I like to pull a girl tightly into my arms just to feel the femininity of her body against mine. I love to feel warm breath on my neck. To hear each other sigh as we react to each other's touch. To feel a woman breasts again my bare chest. To carefully and nervously undress each other. To feel soft flesh through silky fabric. To taste her. But truly the best part is to awake the next day naked in each others arms to find it was not a dream.

Amanda Jane says: That is the most romantic thing I've ever heard. Now I'm all warm and longing. I also like to cuddle with my dog buddy, cause he can't talk back or get up and leave.

8-04-05

Quote of the day:
"The most curious social convention of the great age in which we live is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected." H. L. Mencken

Thought of the day:
I've always thought that time traveling into the past, if possible, could be dangerous because the slightest thing you do could change time forever. Never realizing that the same could be said about the present. Who knows what effect we have today on the history of tomorrow in the long run. Really it may take a thousand years for just some slight thing you didn't even realize you did to change the world. Imagine if you stopped Hitler's parents from meeting by just talking to one long enough that they never met or persuaded Mozart's mother to have an abortion. For better or worst we all effect the world in ways we can never conceive. From not wearing a condom to being 5 minutes late, we can ultimately end up effecting eternity itself. Never knowing for sure if it's for better or worst, despite any good or bad intentions.

Amanda Jane says: It saddens me to know that I won't be remembered throughout history. Only to those in the present that will outlive me and maybe share a memorie or two with another. All in all just breaking up the word His-Story. Maybe that is how I will make it into the books by creating a new concept called "Herstory". Some how I think it will involve a lot of bitching.

People are so rude to smokers. You'd think they'd try to be nicer to people who are dying." Roseanne Bar

Thought of the day:
I think the greatest tragedy of love is that we rarely fall for the person we should.

Quote of the day:
"Any man who hates dogs and babies can't be all bad." Leo Rosten

Thought of the day:
So is an engagement ring just another kind of prostitution? It's not the same as simply being a lovers gift. It's seems to be a "payment" that is required of a man to get a woman for life. I'm sure feminists had the same thought but unlike a demand for equal pay for equal work this issue seems to have been dropped. Maybe it's because it's to a woman benefit? Really as far as I can tell marriage seems like it's more to a woman's benefit. I only say this because pretty much every man I've met has advised me not to get married. (yeah, like there's a line outside the door, eh!) While on the other hand, I don't really see this from woman. Then I'm not a woman, who knows what they tell each other. I have theories, but they are prejudiced by my bitterness and probably farfetched. Women will ask me when I'm getting married though. To be fair a few have told me not to settle down just yet. Because you know I'm running wild.

Amanda Jane says: If you look into the centiment behind the tradition it will actually make sense. It's just like how the bride is supposed to wear a white dress to symbolize here being a virgin. How many brides do you know that are pure upon reading their vows? Not many I'm sure, but they still where the big white dress. Here's to tradition and symbolism.

Quote of the day:
"The good die young---because they see it's no use living if you've got to be good," John Barrymore

Thought of the day:
If it's one thing being raised in a capitalist society has taught me, it is that people are greedy and self interested. While there are many charities in this country that do a lot of good work, for the most part we are spend money on ourselves. It's our right as an America damn it! But really we spend a lot needlessly to different levels of extremes. The money I spend on my satellite TV service a month could probably feed someone each month. The saddest thing is I realize this and won't cancel it tomorrow to donate to a homeless shelter. I'm more concerned with some petty bullshit like some girl or the fact that today my thought of the day is nothing new from me. I like to think I'm a nice person...a good person, but really I'm just an indifferent person.

Amanda Jane wonders-Is ti just because we are Americans? Are people on the other side of the world as petty as we are? Are they more aware of what is taken for granted by us?

7-31-05

Quote of the day:
"You gotta do a lota shit in life you don't like" some guy on MTV

Thought of the day:
The Megatouch game at the bar said that sperm contains a lot of sugar. So you might want to think twice about swallowing if you're a diabetic whore.

Amanda Jane says-These are those thoughts of the day that show us how twisted you can actually be.

7-30-05

Quote of the day:
"There's fun in the air." Maurice Chevalier's last words before slipping into a coma

Thought of the day:
Did you know that JELLO is made with animal skin & bones? I was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer the other day when someone said that it was made from cow legs or something. This made me go, "Is that true?" and "What is it made from?" Really all I knew was that it was made from gelatin. So I look that up and learned a bit about it. It is skin & bones, kinda like me! Really it's used from Jell-O to photography and possibly even explosives. Like Jell-O wasn't weird enough as it is, eh! There are vegetarian substitutes that I've found for those who care. In the end I'm left wondering if I could be made into Jell-O. Might want to think twice about those Johnnie Walker Jell-O shots at my funeral!

Amanda Jane says-J-E-L-L-YUCK!

7-29-05

Quote of the day:
"What have I lived for?" Lorenz Hart

Thought of the day:
I don't know what to do or even what I am doing, do you?

Amanda Jane says-nope, but I enjoy doing it anyway.

7-28-05

Quote of the day:
"The cost of living has gone up another dollar a quart." W. C. Fields

Thought of the day:
Isn't the idea of love at first sight kinda shallow?

Amanda Jane says- I agree with you. Mom always taught us to look inside people and not at what they are on the outside. Let me ask you this.....how many people will walk up to some one who they find unattractive to see if they are pretty on the inside? I don't, I will approach some one who I find attractive and then see what kind of person they are. So I'd like to believe that there is love at first sight, if you feel some thing from them just by looking at them, then you talk to them and find that you love their pesonality as well, then yippie.

7-27-05

Quote of the day:
"Great daring often conceals great fear." Lucan

Thought of the day:
Is this all just a testament to my own egotism? To think that everyday I have to share my thoughts as if I was someone to be listened to for any reason. Hell, I probably improperly used the word testament. But fuck it, it's fun and most of you seem to enjoy it. If one in a hundred of these makes you laugh, cry, or think then it is worth it. I really don't talk to many of the people I send this to much anymore as well. So It's nice to at least share something everyday.

Amanda Jane says- We enjoy it. Sometimes you scare us a little, but yes indeed, we enjoy it.
