Quote of the day:
"People who are sensible about love are incapable of it." Douglas Yates
Thought of the day:
What the fuck do I know? I still live at home and coat eyeglasses for a living. I have an associate's degree in photography for Christ sake! It's not like I'm some wise old sage or something. Think for yourselves today!

Quote of the day:
"Many a man has fallen in love with a girl in a light so dim he would not have chosen a suit by it." Maurice Chevalier
Thought of the day:
As a single man I see all other men as my enemy on some level. That is except for the gay man. I don't see why some guys have a problem with gay guys, personally I wish every man better looking then me was gay. It'd only make me that much more likely to find a woman. Now you'd think using this logic I'd have a problem with gay woman but come on, what man could have a problem with women hooking up? So let them get married, have children, march in parades, star in TV shows, whatever. Hey whatever gets you thru the night, besides I got my own problems. Now there are some who would say, "how would you feel if your kid was gay?" First off I don't see me having children. For one thing I'm interested in the idea and besides it's not like there's a line of women wanting to carry my seed. But say it happens, I end up with children who happen to be gay. Well, when my son Johnnie Walker comes out to me, I'll just tell him, "Good thinking son, women are nothing but trouble." Or if little Willow does the same, I'll just tell her, "Good you won't get pregnant that way, but I'll warn you women are nothing but trouble."

Quote of the day:
"Sometimes at night. When I hear the wind. I wish I was crazy again." Johnny
Cash
Thought of the day:
Remember you only live once, unless you're a Hindu and nothing lasts forever,
except styrofoam. So don't be afraid to get what you want from life and never
live a lie that costs you what you want or who you are. It may seem selfish
but we've all got to take what we can when we can. Don't get hung up on petty
insignificant things, be yourself. Those who can't handle it aren't worth a
shit. Those who can are worth their weight in gold. But don't be completely self
interested. Consider those that treat you like gold and those who treat you
like shit and treat them accordingly.

misery and pain at times. We need to feel bad to feel good, or at least it helps
us to appreciate it more. Besides there is a sick joy in anger and misery.

Thought of the day:
In my life I'm sure close to a million animals will die that I might live, should that bother me or make me feel special? Really after seeing how they found a finger in Wendy's chili, I have to wonder if I've ever eaten another human. No sexual innuendo intended.

Quote of the day:
"I have played the fool" I Samuel 26:21
Thought of the day:
I'm so sick of this god damn Schiavo case. It does however illustrate a thought I've had. So many people are convinced that there is an afterlife, that their thoughts, emotions, personality, etc., will live on in some form afterthey die. Yet look at this Schiavo woman staring off into space with this glazed look in her eyes. All that was her died long before she did. So how can we expect to maintain who we are after death, when we can't even be assured of sucha thing in life? You know the doctor told me last week that he might be able to stop my seizers by removing part of my brain. I wonder if he could remove the last part of me that gives a flying fuck.

"In reality, hope is the worst of all evils, because it prolongs man's
torment." Nietzsche
Thought of the day:
I saw a dead cat by the side of the road today, that or a skunk. To be honest
with you, I really didn't care. Maybe that makes me a horrible person and I
seem heartless. I thought about all this as I drove on. I then realized that
perhaps I'm better off not to care, that animal will be no less dead no matter
how I feel. The only person effected by any pain I would have at it's death
would be me. I don't need be torn up over such a thing, do I? If only I could
control what I care about. So many times I care only to be nothing but hurt by my feelings.

"How much fame, money, and power does a woman have to achieve on her own
before you can punch her in the face?" P.J. O'Rourke
Thought of the day:
Despite the fight for equality and the woman's movement it is still seen as a
horrible thing for a man to hit a woman. There is no question of equality or
anything like that. Now don't get me wrong, it's not that I have a problem
with people being outraged that a man would hit a woman, but my problem is that
they are not equaly outraged at a man hitting another man or a woman hitting a
man. It's funny I went to the doctor today and had to answer all these
questions about abuse. I guess the point I'm trying to make here is that it's
not the gender but the violence that should sicken us.

Quote of the day:
"My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" said to be Jesus' last words -
Matthew 27:46 (If I'm not mistaken this line was old before he is said to have
been born, I believe Job said it but can't find it.)
Thought of the day:
Really I have a few thoughts on today, pretty much all involve meat. In some
ways I'd like to visit a slaughter house today, I think at least I should be
man enough to face my meal and all it goes though. I think It'd be funny if
vegetarians ate meat today. You know to balance things out. Really I'm not 100%
on what the deal is with not eating meat today. "Why meat?" is the only thing I
don't quit get. I understand that people are to sacrifice in honor of Jesus'
suffering on the cross. Which really makes me think "why" again. Even if the
story is all true, Christ was not the first, the last, nor the only person to
die this way. Really it's a horrible death, but there are far worst ways to die
or to live for that matter. As a mortal there are few please we have, one is
meat. So why should we give it up in honor of the suffering of a being of
pretty incomprehensible power? I'd gladly be crucified for that. So let me just
end this by saying that just because some people can't eat meat today doesn't
mean they can't blow me.
